Archer

I went camping in New Mexico for The Gathering of the Clans, and big Amtgard event held yearly. Amtgard is a fantasy medieval combat recreation group I've been a part of since 2005.

I'm not sure what to do with the color on this.

Shadow challenge

Have you ever taken a picture of someone else taking a picture? What about yourself taking a picture? Moving so your shadow isn't in the picture is easy; getting it right where you want it it quite a bit trickier.

Underwater photog

Um, wow. Check out this underwater photographer I found via StumbleUpon, Zena Holloway. My mind is pretty much blown.

Leni Riefenstahl

Earlier this year I received a postcard with a stunning photo of young Nubian women. Now I have such a girl crush on German photographer Leni Riefenstahl. Born in 1902, she was a director, actress, and dancer who went on to photograph the Nuba tribes of Sudan in the 60s. She did so much for the country that she was the first foreigner to ever be given a Sudanese passport. At 72, she lied and said she was 52 to get a SCUBA certification and pursue underwater photography. She died in 2003, shortly after her 101st birthday.

The Nuba are a beautiful naked tribe, and I adore Leni's portraits of them. Take two minutes to Google it.

Take: Two

As of today, I haven't posted since June 29, 2010, because my camera broke. I got it repaired, but I was too far off the wagon. Since I'm unemployed and can't spend *every* waking hour job-hunting, maybe I'll try to catch up a bit.

And so I give you: BUNNEHS!

From my boyfriend's parents' backyard. <3!

Beach!

All beach photos are the same, but for some reason I like this crappy, weirdly focused one.
